Macedonia U19: Defeated by Norway in the second round of the qualifying tournament in Skopje

The  national team of Macedonia under 19 lost convincingly 6:2 against the corresponding representation of Norway in a match of the second round of the mini qualifying tournament (first round) for placement in the elite qualifying stage for the European Championship that will be held in Malta 2023.

At the "Petar Milosevski" training center, we saw an exciting match with open play on both sides and eight goals scored. The Norwegian team played an outstanding match, in which they played with one less player from the 4th minute and managed to celebrate a convincing victory.

The team of the head coach Nejat Shabani opened the match well. Early in the 6th minute we managed to take a 1:0 lead. Shaban Zencu scored an outstanding goal from a free kick. The opponent quickly consolidated their ranks, imposed their own game and tempo and in the period from 10 to 16 minutes managed to score two goals through Noosa and Aroen for a 2:1 advantage. Trajkov managed to equalize the score in the 20th minute. The Norwegians scored two more goals by the end of the first half. With his second goal in the 32nd minute, Nusa brought Norway ahead again, and Aroen scored for 4:2.

In the continuation, the Norwegian national team scored two more goals, which confirmed the convincing victory in today's match. Eng scored in the 57th minute for a 5:2 advantage. The sixth goal for Norway was the work of Gjengaar in the 70th minute.
