The national team of Macedonia celebrated victory over Faroe Islands with 1:0 in the friendly match played at the National Arena "Todor Proeski" in Skopje in the first mutual duel in history. Bojan Miovski with a goal in the second half was the man who decided the match.

The first twenty minutes of the match passed without a shot on goal, with one half chance on both sides. But the attempts ended up far from the goals of Šiškovski and Rejnatrod.

In the 25th minute, Etemi received a deep ball, passed the goalkeeper Reynatrod and scored, but the goal was canceled due to offside. The 28th minute was played, when the referee Savović pointed to the penalty spot after an obvious handball by one of the Farani defenders after a cross by Stefan Ristovski.

Then, the first shot on goal arrived when Nestorovski tried, but Reynatrod was confident. After the first concrete action and counter, in the 37th minute, Ezdjan Alioski had a wonderful opportunity to score, but the ball ended up in the Faroe Islands goalpost. The guests had their first chance only in the 40th minute, through Stefan Radosavljevic, who shot high over the crossbar from near the penalty spot from Macedonia's goal. That was all for the first half at the "Todor Proeski" Arena in Skopje.

Macedonia had the first opportunity in the second half. In the 50th minute, Darko Churlinov performed a slalom, he ran half the field alone, but the shot on the ground was lukewarm and it was not a problem for the goalkeeper of the Faroe Islands. A double change followed, Miovski and Elmas entered the game instead of Nestorovski and Milan Ristovski. It brought a little excitement to the game, but again the execution was lacking. The block in the Farani defense worked well on every shot we had from distance.

Another double substitution followed, David Babunski and Agon Elezi came on to shake up the midfield. It was Elezi in the 75th minute who had a good chance to score, but he didn't catch the ball properly. Jovan Manev also made his debut, replacing Darko Velkovski, and Darko Churlinov was also replaced by Ashkovski. In the 79th minute, Eljif Elmas had the best chance of the match. The Napoli player went in front of the goal of the guests, but shot at the feet of the goalkeeper Reynatrod, who keeps his net intact.
